Privacy policy

This page describes, in plain language, what data HealthDetective.ai handles and what happens to it. It is written by the people who built the product, not by a law firm; where it and the law disagree, the law wins, and you can always write to hello@healthdetective.ai.
What we collect
- Account data — your name, email address, and session information. Accounts are created by us; there is no public sign-up.
- The records you upload — medical documents and notes you choose to add, after you have removed identifying details from them. These are special-category data under GDPR Article 9, and we treat them that way.
- Derived data — the text extracted from your documents and the AI-generated analyses (hypothesis cascades, doctor briefings) built from them.
We do not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers on this site.
How your records are used
Your records are used for exactly one purpose: building your case. To do that, their redacted contents are processed by the AI models we run on Google Cloud (Vertex AI) and, for text extraction from scans, by an OCR service. Every analysis records which model produced it. We never sell your data, never share it with advertisers or data brokers, and never use it for anything other than the service you asked for.
Where it lives and how it’s protected
Data is stored on our own server infrastructure in the EU, encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access requires your account. Backups are encrypted.
Your rights
- Erasure, built in: the “Delete all data” action in the product permanently removes your uploaded documents, extracted text, and every AI-generated analysis (GDPR Article 17). It is not a request form — it executes immediately, even while an analysis is running.
- Access and portability: your documents and reports are yours; write to us for a copy of everything we hold.
- Complaint: you can lodge a complaint with your data protection authority at any time.
